I think 'manifesto' is a bit of an exaggeration. This is just a spew of animosities. There's no attempt to justify any of it in terms of some larger cause, which is what someone might attempt in a manifesto. She sounds to me like someone who hated the world and her insignificance in it and wanted to kill some people to spread her own misery around. This is what it's like inside the mind of a frustrated narcissist.

Yeah, but it’s been called a manifesto since people found out about it.

She was reportedly 28 years-old, and it reads like something from the mind of a psychotic 12 year-old. It seems to me less like she had any particular motivation and more like she just wanted to kill some people and was trying to make up a story of why she hated this particular group she'd chosen to talk herself into doing it -- if that makes any sense.

No mentally sane and competent person would go into a school to murder children senselessly. Literally accomplishes nothing.

Completely sane and competent people do nasty sadistic shit all the time.

Shooting up a school gets your name in the papers. It gets people digging into what could have driven you to it which then hurts your family who you might resent. That's what it accomplishes.

Yes, you can be quite rational and understand the consequences of your actions and be a sociopath at the same time. You just have no empathy for others. As I understand it, the shooter attended this school herself, so it became a target because she knew the layout.
