The sad thing is that people like this are getting tons of attention on social media and, well, a lot of well-meaning straight people that have no idea what's happening just eat it up because they don't know any better. These people talk with that air of, "it's so simple that a child could understand," and straight people that legit don't understand feel bad and start thinking that just because someone has a penis doesn't mean he can't be a lesbian.

My straight friends always seem so confused by how hard my husband and I go against this shit, but it's too late because they're convinced we're just hateful or something.

The biggest issue is that too few feminists will acknowledge a lot of the root causes for that, because they don't want to seem "hateful".
