How terrible transgendered service members are being discriminated against in this way. They should be made to go on deployment just like everyone else. How transphobic of the DOD to provide such waivers.

Actual DOD document, I think a certain amount of interpretation has been applied, but it doesn’t look like the link in the OP is outright lying. It does indeed state that active transition is a reason to be prevented from being actively deployed.

It’s a manual not a memo, and it doesn’t appear to be classified in the slightest.

...I mean, considering how many snarts are openly saying they plan to turn against the US the first chance they get and fight for whatever enemy is against them [because Russia/Iran's "you will die slowly and painfully for being gay" is far lesser than the US's "that one lesbian you're harassing won't suck your girldick and that's MEAN!", am I right?], would you WANT THEM in combat?
