Ignoring all the child protection issues, I think everyone here knows where I stand on anything involving safeguarding children, this is a global company devoting money and resources to removing agency from parents with regards to their own children.

And it’s not happening in a country like Iran or Saudi, or in the 1950s, it’s targeting children in a modern liberal democracy where hate crimes need to be invented because the supply is so low.

I think governments have allowed these massive tech companies to grow far too big and far too powerful and it’s probably time for them to be broken up. Especially now that one of them has decided that it will use its resources to interfere in family life.

All this sulking around at hiding things from the parents raises major red flags but also even if we accept this program as good the way they are going about it makes little to no sense.

Simply put if the child is in actual danger from the parents for being trans then you wouldn't send them home and tell them to "keep it secret" you'd have them removed. They don't have the ability or evidence to prove that, so the "danger" is that the parents might not agree and might convince the child they aren't really trans.

Second assuming actual danger exists this escape feature is in no way safe. Since erasing browser history does not erase your router history. So long as the child is browsing this information on any network or device that the parents have control of, they can figure out what they are looking at.

Yeah, it is weird how many times I remember studies or articles I have read and when I want to find back to it, it's gone from the face of the earth. Like the link between trans (especially AGP) and narcissism, and an interview with an advocate for an intersex organisation who supported the gender binary and viewed intersex as a medical condition.
