The amount of posters who have the same blood issues and say they deal with it by donating blood is a bit scary. Both because it would help their hemoglobin issue but worsen the anemia. But mainly because I wouldn't want to end up as the recipient of their potentially poisonous blood.

"I have the same thing, it's not a problem" is both terrifying and depressing. Dragging someone else down with them with how serious those health issues can be is sad.

Imagine ignoring your doctor who listened to you and tried to suggest the best possible path, as well as a path that would be less harmful and going "nah that doctor knows nothing. I'll listen to redditors, i'm sure they know more than my doctor"

I call them "people who won't let you agree with them"--the thrill of making others SUBMIT increases with how INsignificant it is, that's why they like motte-and-bailey arguments: not everyone get the peak of sending their army off to war, but anyone can change their pronouns daily and watch everyone SQUIRM as you drop the hint that HR MIGHT just hear about it

If your doctor told you to get vaccinated would you?

Yeah, have gone in for travel vaccines and been advised to get a bunch. They're the ones with a big list of what I've had and might need updating to still work and what is a risk where I'm going.

Ahhh that’s what one of them was talking about when they said that a phlebotomy was in the OP’s future and they had had similar. They’re essentially talking about bloodletting.

Why are women taking testosterone allowed to donate blood? It's killing them, why would anyone else want it?
