A thread where they are literally giving advice to someone who would choose death over reality. One person gave helpful advice, “nothing wrong with being a woman, nothing wrong with being a woman who loves women”, and the rest are just ghouls and groomers.

It's like a death cult. Jim Jones would be proud.

My doctor told me I could have a stroke at any time… but I guess I misunderstood because when I started jerking off I got told to leave..

This is sickening

The amount of posters who have the same blood issues and say they deal with it by donating blood is a bit scary. Both because it would help their hemoglobin issue but worsen the anemia. But mainly because I wouldn't want to end up as the recipient of their potentially poisonous blood.

"I have the same thing, it's not a problem" is both terrifying and depressing. Dragging someone else down with them with how serious those health issues can be is sad.

Imagine ignoring your doctor who listened to you and tried to suggest the best possible path, as well as a path that would be less harmful and going "nah that doctor knows nothing. I'll listen to redditors, i'm sure they know more than my doctor"

"bucket of crabs" analogy there

I call them "people who won't let you agree with them"--the thrill of making others SUBMIT increases with how INsignificant it is, that's why they like motte-and-bailey arguments: not everyone get the peak of sending their army off to war, but anyone can change their pronouns daily and watch everyone SQUIRM as you drop the hint that HR MIGHT just hear about it

If your doctor told you to get vaccinated would you?

[–]Haylstorm 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, have gone in for travel vaccines and been advised to get a bunch. They're the ones with a big list of what I've had and might need updating to still work and what is a risk where I'm going.

Ahhh that’s what one of them was talking about when they said that a phlebotomy was in the OP’s future and they had had similar. They’re essentially talking about bloodletting.

Why are women taking testosterone allowed to donate blood? It's killing them, why would anyone else want it?

I don't want a future I can't be trans in.

This some crazy shit. It's widely known that cross sex hormones cause people to experience dramatically shortened lives and they do not inform transgender people of this side effect. Then when faced with that reality it's basically a refusal to acknowledge it.

Those are female reference ranges...now of course, maybe there is a reason I don't know about as to why you need to be below male reference ranges, but my experience has been repeatedly having to educate doctors that no, that is supposed to happen. It turns out that trans-friendly is not always trans-educated

Gee i wonder if the reason your body needs to be in the female range is because you are female?

Problem is I also am having a lot of really difficult symptoms and health problems in a lot of areas, so it’s hard to tell what’s what.

Main reason she’s concerned is bc I’m getting symptoms such as inability to regulate temperature which can be a sign of dangerously high hemoglobin levels. Idk what to do. Idk how to find a doctor more knowledgeable in trans healthcare

You want a magic doctor. That doesn't exist. It isn't that complicated. The person is being faced with reality and trying so hard to keep the blinders on.

It’s like someone who has wildly uncontrolled diabetes shopping around for a doctor that will tell them it’s fine for them to be two-fisting Ben & Jerry’s with a side of M&M’s and washing it all down with Coca-Cola.

The doctor that tells you that will be explaining that advice in the coroner’s court inquest into your death, and then again in front of his licensing board.

No one wants to be told that they’re living in cloud cuckoo land, but damn these troons and especially the troonettes are off with the fucking fairies.

I think we should stop calling what the troonettes have “social contagion” and start calling “socially contagious psychosis”.

Those doctors exist. I know we largely focus on gender identity woo here but Health At Every Size/Body Positivity/Fat Friendly woo is just as pervasive across activism influenced healthcare. We just live in deranged times.

Seems like a pretty decent doctor actually. Sounds like she made a show of being interested in the patient being trans so that she would actually listen to her when she told her she can't take testosterone instead of crying transphobia and ignoring it. When the patient made it clear she wasn't going to comply the doctor still managed to convince her to reduce it at least to minimize harm.

Holy fuck… a few of them are saying batshit nonsense like “but she’s using female ranges, so you’re fine because you’re a male” or effectively that. NO SHE IS NOT! She’s a female and will always be. No matter how fucking “affirmed” of “validated” she fucking feels! This is absolutely malpractice. She is going to die for a delusion. No, stopping T won’t kill you. A blood clot or heart attack certainly could though.

And at this point, I feel like a lotta normal ass women feel. No, you aren’t a man sweetheart. You are not like me. You did not have my childhood or life experiences. You’ve never had male anatomy for all its pros and cons. You have never been one of the guys. You don’t even know what that means. I doubt you even know any real guys given the people you likely associate with. I’m sick of the make believe. I’m sick of gender appropriation. I’m sick of the craze. I’m sick to fucking death of a bunch of losers who want to feel like they’re waging the next battle for civil rights for the sake of people who masturbate to a fantasy of themselves as the opposite sex. These people have gone out of their minds.

the next battle for civil rights

If they could discard their self-installed blinders, they'd see that trying to shoehorn identity politics into "civil rights" runs the risk of destroying the progress of real civil-rights issues.

Race, sex, national-origin, disability, etc., are objective immutable characteristics, deserving of civil-rights 'protected-class' status. "Feelings", behaviors and lifestyle-choices will never rise to that level, and forcing people to 'play-pretend' will bring about society-destroying attitudes like "I identify as [insert legitimate protected-class]!" by people who are playing the system.

They ignore the people who actually care about their well being and listen to the ones who don’t. I’m surprised xir agreed to a new test dosage.

An FTM friend of mine had to stop taking testosterone because of negative health effects.

Even if it kills the woman to take testosterone, many of the comments are supportive of her continuing the injections. I noticed some comments are deleted, and wonder if this is reddit's way of censoring free speech. What did the deleted comments say? Could they have disagreed with the insanity of a woman harming her health with testosterone injections?

Reveddit used to work, but it hasn't worked for me lately. I think reddit made a change that broke it. I learned this from a related service: Unddit....

On May 1st, Reddit banned Pushshift from the Reddit API. Since Unddit relies on Pushshift to find removed and deleted comments and posts, any posts made after this time will appear to have zero comments
