It annoys me when it’s referred to as “men’s rights activism” because it’s nothing to do with the issues facing men and it is just yet another use of “men’s rights” as a slur. It’s entirely possible to be concerned with both men’s and women’s rights.
It’s fetish/mental illness by largely unpleasant men supported by large numbers of women using the philosophical underpinnings of gender theory from feminists like Judith Butler.
I give Glinner a bit of a pass because they have literally driven him mad by removing every aspect of his life (and blaming him for it) but every time he brings up troonery being “a men’s rights movement” just makes me disregard what he has to say.
I’m not an MRA, but having worked in health and education there are serious issues affecting men and boys that get swept under the carpet because “men’s rights” has been turned into a slur by feminists and the craven politicians.

I agree with you, but having said that- it is pretty appropriate to mention that both men's rights and trans rights (and on the women's side, body positivity) fall victim to the same problem: They each had a good point, but the movement got so overloaded with whiny incels who were bitter they can't get laid and demanded them getting fucked as a civil right...and so many of them joined the movement they managed to tilt it all to dance to their beat instead of the beat of equality for the group.

I agree with you (especially about issues affecting men) but I think the phrasing is somewhat useful to denote men like Colin advocating for themselves as men, not as women.
