Science is easily biased. That's why experiments are supposed to have such strict protocols (which are often not followed), and still end up with wildly different results. Already a biased media can pick and choose studies with results that seem to support the desired view. And the studies themselves can be biased to produce a certain result. And since the trans debate is so heated right now, it's one of the most likely subjects to suffer from this problem.
