Feminism in 2013: "The WHITE MALE PATRIARCHY wants to erase women and take away our rights and opportunities!"

Me in 2013: "Calm down Legbeard nobody wants to erase women"

Me in 2023: "Holy shit..."

The ironic twist is women are way more likely than men to support greater rights for troons, including access to single sex spaces. The difference in polling between men and women isn’t even close.

Depends on which "women" they polled. Polls can be highly manipulated as well. What kind of people even answer polls?

Major polling organisations, not some rinkydink online poll.

Women are more likely than men to support greater transgender rights across all questions

Across the board, women are more likely than men to support greater transgender rights.

In fact, the only transgender issue on which men tend to be supportive is that people should be able to socially identify as a different gender to the one they had recorded at birth, by 47% to 33% (a net score of +14). While this may be the most pro-trans stance men take, it is also the one on which they are farthest behind women. More than six in ten women (63%) say people should be able to identify as another gender socially, compared to only 18% who disagree, giving a net score of +45.

Interesting that we constantly go on about not letting the troons dictate reality to suit them, but when reality is contrary to our beliefs some of us will do contortions to not have to accept it.

Contortions? You realize that polls were made to shape opinion and perception, right?

Anyone who trusts the media and their claims from experts or polls is a fool.

Part of the problem is that most people really don't understand what they're supporting. Hell, I have TERF friends who thought that transwomen actually received uterus transplants and could menstruate. A lot of people actually believe that men are literally turned into women.

I find the most trans supportive people in my social circle are those who have the least idea what's going on.

People are stupid.

Can't really be helped since our modern world gives us TMI about everything and you can't be expected to know everything. I can understand the basic idea of "let's be nice to the oppressed of society" I agree with that basic idea.

But once you know more about what the medical side of it actually entails. And get the psychological elements, it becomes much more complicated and concerning.
