If that thing is a vicar, then there's way bigger problems.

100% certainty that he pulled an Eddie Izzard. Bog standard transvestite, got himself off cross-dressing in private and then decided to use gender identity theory to force everyone else to participate in his fetish when he no longer got the thrill from doing it in private/fetish venues. Izzard did a fairly good job of making it no big deal for his stage shows, but having seen him walking around in person several times (in London and New York) he didn’t seem to need to do it in public until recently, and now he dresses like someone’s grandma with makeup applied with trowel.

We need to start calling this shit what it really is - mass sexual abuse - forcing everyone to participate in sexual activities with them, now with the full participation and weight of the state behind it.

Adults can do whatever they want in the privacy of their own homes (consent being the only pre-requisite), but bringing that shit into public should be a criminal offence and be considered a sex crime.

I never followed Izzard's career, not being from the UK, but from what I gathered, Izzard was pretty based and progressive when he was just a run of the mill transvestite and claiming that clothes have no gender. Fair enough, dress as you please.

Since queer theory took hold and autogynephilia gained respectability (by not calling itself such), he's gone headlong into the 'look at me I'm a woman because I fetishize them' thing. It's very telling that he himself acknowledges that it's a natural progression.

I've followed other personalities on the cross-dresser-to-troon pipeline (notably Vera Wylde of YouTube's Council of Geeks) and it's interesting to track the same devolution of character and mental health. These men go from being sane, based and respectable to becoming narcissistic, angry and obsessed with their 'identity'. Vera Wylde even does a video where he talks about never having had gender dysphoria, and then developing it as he started living a 'trans' identity full-time. No self awareness of the iatrogenic nature of trans.

Izzard called himself a transvestite (both Executive Transvestite and Action Transvestite at various times for various shows) and he used to say “These aren’t women’s clothes, they’re mine”…. And very few people had a problem with him. He even toned it down completely when in the US auditioning for roles knowing that he wasn’t going to get hired for a leading role wearing bright red lipstick.

He was very much a man, talked about wanting to be in the army as a kid, ran 47 marathons in 51 days for charity in 2009. Talked about the effect the death of his mother when he was young had on him. Never once hinted that he thought of himself as anything other than a man who quite liked wearing women’s clothing.

Then gender identity theory takes off and first he decides that he has “boy mode” and “girl mode” and switches freely between them at will and then finally decides that he’s been a woman all along and will dress that way permanently and begins using the women’s loo too.

It’s clearly a progression of his crossdressing fetish, he just did the crossdressing in public for longer than most.

I heard in a Posie Parker interview that he was traumatized by his mother's death and that he "looks for her everywhere". Might be the root of his AGP

Seconding this - it comes up surprisingly often with hard-wired AGPs, particularly the ones who dress in an older/frumpy style.

That's why I stopped being an Eddie Izzard fan.
