People can decide for themselves and be happy. But it's absolutely crazy for someone else to preach some kind of made up bullshit in order to confuse people who are already confused to make life changing decisions. How can that lead to anything but misery? Those people have an agenda to normalize the abnormal.

    I don't think we'll be able to point to an actual inventor of it. You can find historical cases of people who had some kind of gender disphoria so it's not entirely a new concept. They'd just have been shipped off to the looney bin and lobotomized in the past.

    Thankfully our society has progressed beyond the need for cruel and unnecessary invasive surgeries to torture people suffering from mental health conditions.

    Thankfully our society has progressed beyond the need for cruel and unnecessary invasive surgeries to torture people suffering from mental health conditions.

    We still do not have a single cure for mental illness, and the treatments are largely ineffective. I guess we can be thankful they don't do ice pick lobotomies anymore, although ECT is still a thing.
