Why would they need two emails, when both would just be "AttentionSeekingAssrag[at]Stonewall.com?"

But finding out that Stonewall is behind this isn't a surprise, seeing as how they're getting put against the ropes with the whole Tavistock mess. They need to do something that gets lots of attention and, more importantly, lots of compliance that they can then point to and say "See, we're still here, we will win!"

Yep, same deal with that recent OpenDemocracy piece on Mermaids where they just tried to pretend they're getting hate for absolutely no reason at all. And definitely not for massive safeguarding failures and hiring a paedophile, no sir.

Oh, come on. Let them have this one.

It's all fun and games until it inevitably becomes "Oh, sorry. We sent TWO emails out. Bob, you responded to this email with no problem, but unfortunately Raven didn't respond to her email. We can't have employees who openly refuse to respond to their emails...Raven's fired, and if that means Bob also has to be fired...well..."

Hi LyingSpirit472,

Gemini Star Baby from HR here, regarding proposed disciplinary action against Bob and Raven. I’m afraid we can’t terminate xem at this time as we have our Stonewall Diversity Champions audit coming up in six months and we need to keep our rating as is.

As you know the SDC audit involves an employee questionnaire and so I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to apologise in writing (3 copies please) for your transphobic behaviour.

Please consider this a final warning.

All the best,

Gemini Star Baby (they/them/her/him)

Hi Classroompast 6178

Random asshole self-identifying as CEO-Gendered here. This is a friendly reminder that I have identified you as fired and a failure to vacate the premises immediately does constitute a failure to validate my gender identity and is a violent hate crime prosecutable under anti-terrorism laws. This is your last warning. I cannot be held responsible for my own actions beyond this point as everything I do up to but not limited to the premature cessation of your life is entirely your own responsibility.

Toodles!

Oh Stonewall, making it all seem more and more ridiculous everyday.

Trans lobby group Stonewall is urging employers to let staff have two email addresses so that they are able to swap gender identities on different days.

The LGBTQ+ charity has drawn up new guidance for hundreds of organisations competing for a spot on its 'workplace equality index' (WEI), the Telegraph reported.

The index requires employers to submit answers for each question which is later marked by the charity in return for a ranked score.

Organisations that score best get a spot on the 'top 100 employers' league table or a bronze, silver or gold award.

One question on the 2023 form asks how employers 'enable non-binary employees to have their identities recognised on all employee-facing workplace systems'.

In guidance beneath the question, Stonewall says 'you will receive more marks if at least one example is specific to gender fluid people, for example the ability to have multiple passcards with different forms of gender expression or linked email accounts/intranet accounts with different names and photos'.

Employers could also 'consider removing gender markers and titles from your systems altogether', or allow Mx gender-neutral titles, the form adds.

Submissions already closed in September and the results are due to be announced next February.

Stonewall's new guidance - which would allow one single employee access to two email accounts - has attracted attention and caused controversy.

Sir John Hayes, chairman of the Common Sense Group of 60 Tory MPs, told The Telegraph: 'Stonewall over recent times has unfortunately become captured by militant elements and its index and awards devalued accordingly.

'It is undesirable for NHS trusts and police forces to be associated with this kind of extremism. I will certainly be writing to the Cabinet Office to ask them to recommend that public bodies, if they go down this road, spend their own money -- not public money.'

Miriam Cates, a Tory MP and member of the Commons education committee also said that the 'radical ideological scheme' is 'frankly absurd', adding how concerning it is that major employees are seeking to adhere to it.

'Any policy that allows employees to have multiple identities is clearly open to abuse, quite apart from being completely unworkable in practice.

'This has nothing to do with equality and everything to do with trying to deny the biological and social reality that sex is binary and men and women are different', she said.

Stonewall's 2023 index - a hefty 40-page form - also asks employers whether they 'do not award the contract' or 'require improvements as a condition of contract' to potential business partners that don't 'meet LGBTQ+ inclusion scrutiny'.

If a contract is awarded to a supplier, Stonewall suggests they could 'include a broad diversity and inclusion slot in contract monitoring meetings'.

Last year's top 100 Stonewall WEI, which is free, included six Government departments, NHS England, six regional NHS bodies, four police forces, three fire services and 10 universities.

In addition, the index requires employers to answer whether they have a 'formal commitment to introduce gender-neutral facilities in all buildings' and 'support all cis employees (including lesbian gay and bi employees) to become trans allies through training, programmes and/or resources'.

Debbie Hayton, a transgender teacher and campaigner, said that Stonewall's two-email advice is 'madness' and that employees could simply have one email account and passcard marked by initials, 'without drawing attention to their sex'.

'Even if people prefer the pronoun 'they', there's still one of them. It doesn't help trans people to separate us out as something different or special,' she told the Telegraph.

A Stonewall spokesman said the charity was 'incredibly proud' of its inclusion schemes.

You always like to think Stonewall redefining homosexuality might be what gets the average person to realise they've lost their way, but it's probably more likely to be something fucking ridiculous like this. Burn it all down.

the index requires employers to answer whether they have a... 'support all cis employees (including lesbian gay and bi employees) to become trans allies through training, programmes and/or resources'.

In other words, are they pushing their workers into company-mandated conversion therapy that could (at worst) see their continued employment at risk for non-compliance?

Just a reminder that if you take Stonewall's advice, implement their programs and end up discriminating against employees in the process, the blame will entirely be placed on you, since nobody said you HAD to follow Stonewall's advice. That was the actual result of an employee tribunal. What exactly is the point of legal advice that doesn't hold up to legal scrutiny and why should a company get away with dispensing that advice?

" Can anyone please make this ideology make sense? So,genderfluid is basically one day i feel like a man, but on other days i feel like a woman?FFS how is this ideology not laughed at for how utterly ridiculous and crazy it is?

Oh by all means, introduce more safety pitfalls to Stonewall's servers. Let's hope you remember to delete BOTH emails when you fire them!
