A Royal Navy engineer has denied sexually assaulting a male colleague and told a court martial he could not have done it because he is 'demisexual'.

Able Seaman Triss Smythe is accused of 'grinding' against the bottom of the alleged victim and kissing his neck, making him feel 'violated and humiliated'.

However, AB Smythe told the hearing he was innocent, as being demisexual means he needs to form a strong emotional bond with anyone before he could even begin to think about sexual contact.

He claimed he struggled to even kiss his female fiancée passionately at first, 'let alone a colleague'.

The 23-year-old insisted the way he wrapped his arms around his fellow sailor and kissed him in an aircraft hanger was purely 'platonic'.

AB Smythe, who was known to use the phrase 'I'm here and I'm queer' around the workplace, denies one count of sexual assault of non-consensual touching and claims the kiss was simply a 'peck'.

I'm a demi-murderer. I only kill people I have an emotional connection with. Your honor I swear when I slit his throat and extracted his entrails it wasn't with murderous intent!

Doesn't fucking matter good God? Next you gonna claim your didn't feel like totally psyched and shit when you were fucking some girl so it wasn't true love so wasn't rape or some shit? Good God your honor I'm innocent? Like I totally didn't want to kill him it's just like killing anyone else there was nothing special about it!

Apparently supposedly straight but surprisingly handsy guys waltzing into the office screeching "I'm here and I'm queer" every fucking day is a lot less common in Palestine.

He claimed he struggled to even kiss his female fiancée passionately at first, 'let alone a colleague'.

There might be another reason for that.

Sounds like a new sitcom for Netflix. "Non-binary demisexual who struggles to kiss his wife is the new Closeted homosexual."

Don't forget how the rest of the article goes into how most would claim, in their view, there was a "strong enough emotional bond" to officially claim "no, you did plan this" even if the courts swallow that tripe.

Emotional bond is bullshit.

You stick your penis into her vagina against her will. Doesn't fucking matter if you want it. Doesn't fucking matter if you like it. It's rape either way because it doesn't matter what you think.

Good. God. You kiss and grind against someone against their will it's sexual assault. I means sure I think that should be resolved by just punching the guy in the face but his feelings don't fucking matter do they?

Well, of course you're right. However, it's easier to tell the court (that'd swallow any "weird sexuality is super-oppressed softboi uwu" and accept it) that this is the truth when they say "no no, I'm demisexual" and the whole article talks about how close the emotional bond was between them before this happened as "yeah, no, you still assaulted them. Go directly to jail."
