I can't stand the use of AMAB or AFAB because it gives in to their ridiculous framing that a baby is just sort of randomly "assigned" at birth. This is literally a case of appropriation of intersex terminology to try and make their gender self ID seem more valid.

I despise the AMAB/AFAB crap as well. I wasn’t “assigned" male. I was born male. Because I have a penis. I was accurately recorded as male on my birth cert because the doctor who delivered me looked at my crotch, as did my parents, and then the hospital legally recorded my existence. The only thing that was assigned to me aside from the legal documents was my name. We need to stop with this "assigned" and that "identify" bullshit.

I noticed most of the posh hotels in Central London already label toilets make and female rather than men and women.

In think because they have such a mix of cultures they know they can't give the troons any excuse to go have a wank in the women's or there would be a bloodbath.

Good thinking. I know what those terms mean. Not everyone. I can recognise the male symbol, as well as "male", "men" and "gents". But if I see "AMAB" on the door of a public toilet I would get caught off guard.

Problem is that a lot of them seem to think they pass...

Not to mention if you give them an inch you take a mile and they'll scream discrimination for not passing. Best to just stick with sexed bathrooms. I'm way more comfortable with other females than with a males presence.

That's fair. I have a problem where whenever I think of a transwoman, I always picture someone like Laverne cox or Blaire white. Someone who's had thousands of dollars worth of surgeries. Whereas most transwomen just like like ugly men in wigs

Except those people don’t pass either. They use lighting, heavy makeup, filters, and make sure they aren’t next to anyone of either sex to “pass”. Take all that away and have them stand next to the same or opposite sex and it’s pretty easy to tell which is the real man and/or woman, and which is the fake.

It's just so easy for people with bad purposes to enter otherwise tbh.

Like look at South Korea and their problem with people putting cameras in women's bathrooms. It only takes one pervert to say they're a woman and gain access and do something like that.

It's a harsh stance but sex segregated spaces are like that for a reason. Safety/privacy comes before feelings.

Transwomen are men. So I wouldn’t care if I saw a trans woman in the jacks. In fact, it would be hilarious to watch Blaire White and Super Ma'am (from the GameStop saga) argue because Blaire took the urinal next to Super Ma'am's. The row might even devolve into an epic chin fight.

Yes. A lot of Americans suck at geography. The education system in Europe is also terrible. Especially in Ireland, where there’s a lot of subtle but present neoliberal indoctrination and a lot of simping for the US establishment.
