I don't think I've ever used it except to mock people in a condescending way. Usually adults for acting like children. Or teens they hate it. "Your curfew is unfair because your parents won't let you stay out all night? Oh no kiddo how terrible for you, guess you'll have to go to bed early and study instead of delinquency with your friends, how horrible for you."

I think that's why it bothers me here. They seem like they're totally condescending to the kids issues, ah of course you're a man now and your name is Jake. I got ya kiddo. Just get your parents credit card for these hormones and cosmetic surgery that you absolutely need to make you happy and I'll tell the parents you're going to kill yourself if they don't pay.

It just feels to scummy to me. But then again I feel the same way about shrinks in general, people don't need to pay some stranger to give them life advice, they need friends and family.

Kids don't need some gender specialist to guide them through the pitfalls of puberty, they need friends and family.

I wonder sometimes if this isn't a eugenics project to sterilize the undesirables like we had back 100 or more years ago, but it mostly seems to be affecting affluent rich liberal types.
