They're mad that people have needs based on their sex. And that these need to be dealt with. Like I'm gonna need a smear test at some point but a male isn't gonna need that lol. Sex matters. Gender doesn't.

I'm wondering about that also. The linked article says that Scotland is going to allow people to legally change their sex by signing a document. How the hell is that going to work medically? Are Scottish medical professionals going to be banned from asking the patients sex? Will they have to accept the patients declared sex as fact and blindly treat them as such? With as much as everyone else is expected to play along and entertain these people's delusions, I guess I wouldn't be surprised.

It'll cause deaths. Even if we ignore aspects like cancer testing what about pregnancies that go wrong? What if someone going in takes up an appointment slot from someone that actually needs it?

I really hope it'll be recorded properly on medical documents so they can concentrate on actual medical needs.

Honestly, I think a good moneymaking opportunity for people is to be a ob-gyn who specifically only takes trans woman patients for this reason.

The best part is, if it's done this way you might not even need a medical degree. Just take them in, put them in stirrups, and say "that sure is what a dragon's vagina would look like. The ladydick really ties it together, it looks like the mouthfeel would be much different, and those feminine fumes are really showing how ladylike the whole package is- and may I just say you are totally cute and heckin' valid today?", send them away, collect hundreds or thousands from each person!

Problem is you'd probably need to keep an eye on it for infection and other issues. Not vagina issues but healing wound ones lol.

Well, luckily their GP can handle the healing wound issues [and even if, these people would assume those things were part of how feminine they were so fall under the same "just show them in, pretend you're examining them, send them out so that women get their appointments without them doing it to pretend."]

The only problem there is that you'd probably have to use a speculum on them and that'd just make them coom.

Like a hot mess. Biological sex matters. I recall the incident of one FTM who went to an US E.R. claiming "he" was pregnant and in potential danger of miscarriage. The nurse, confused by the beard, thought she was dealing with an actual man suffering from psychosis and so failed to provide proper care. The FTM lost her baby.

Also the UK NHS failed to call FTMs for breast cancer and other regular gynecological exams and MTFs for prostate exams, because the local TRA geniuses convinced/strong armed it,to register trans people as the sex they IDed with, not their actual sex.

I don’t know about Scotland but my health insurance company in New Zealand gets around this by just keeping “what’s your sex?” and providing an explanation of why they need to ask it.

I think it points out how laws are the ultimate social construct. You can legally define anything as anything else but it's just meaningless in terms of reality or morals. Slavery was legal etc ..
