New York health commissioner demands WHO rename 'racist' monkeypox. Vasan states that the continued use of the term "monkeypox" would reignite "traumatic feelings of racism and stigma" for "Black people and other people of color, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ communities." Just call it gaypox. by Chipit in WorldNews

as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ communities

I know they throw this in here to further virtue signal and attempt to garner sympathy, but I'd really like to hear an explanation from them as to how in the hell "monkeypox" could possibly "reignite 'traumatic feelings of racism and stigma'" specifically for members of the LGBTQIA+ communities.

FARTs - How women who question transgender ideology are described in Scottish Government training by jet199 in TumblrInAction

I'm wondering about that also. The linked article says that Scotland is going to allow people to legally change their sex by signing a document. How the hell is that going to work medically? Are Scottish medical professionals going to be banned from asking the patients sex? Will they have to accept the patients declared sex as fact and blindly treat them as such? With as much as everyone else is expected to play along and entertain these people's delusions, I guess I wouldn't be surprised.

"Fe/male-Bodied" (compound noun)

An outdated term that is often used synonymously with AFAB/AMAB. This term is viewed negatively by most of the transgender community. It reinforces ideas of what constitutes "fe/male" that are discriminatory of trans people. "Wo/men" have "fe/male" bodies regardless of their trans status. The same can be applied to the terms "biological wo/men". Wo/men are both biologically and genetically women, regardless of their trans status.

This shit is so insane to me. Because there is a very, very small percentage of the population that doesn't feel 100% at home in the bodies they were born in, everyone else in the world is supposed to ignore science and play along with and reinforce their delusions.

How are there so many people that play along with this? Are they just so obsessed with being viewed as a "good person" that they're terrified of being critical?

Maybe once more issues and bigger issues arise from going along with this more people will start voicing opposition.

60% of Americans say people can’t switch genders, up from years past: poll by [deleted] in politics

Exactly. Gender, as it's defined today, if it even does have a definition, is meaningless to anything. I still struggle to know what these people even claim that gender is. I say "claim", because it really seems to me that they claim that gender and sex are different, but in actuality, treat them the same.

Black teacher who objected to ‘white privilege’ training wins $525,000 settlement after retaliation from school by jet199 in TheAntiWokeLeft

Benner argued the investigations came in retaliation for complaints to the school board about race-based student discipline policies implemented by then Superintendent Valeria Silva and promoted by President Obama. The discipline policies aimed to reduce suspensions of black students by lowering the expectations for behavior and increasing the threshold for suspensions, something Benner repeatedly, publicly argued was against the best interests of black students.

The “restorative justice” approach to student discipline was accompanied by “white privilege” teacher training sessions that cost the district taxpayers more than $3 million. Those sessions focused on the “white privilege” theory that the public education system is hopelessly stacked against black students, who shouldn’t be held accountable for poor academics or bad behavior.

Less discipline, accountability, consequences, and expectation, and only for kids with black skin. How could these policies possibly be conducive to the education of black students. It's hard for me to believe that any educators actually think that this will improve education for them.

Poll on r/polls, redditors are mostly disagreeing with the r/TiA ban. by incorgnito in TumblrInAction

Some people even throwing in the racist claim. I mean, I guess why not. There are way to many people that will just believe those claims because they are terrified of being labeled as such.

There's also this crazy person who believes or is trying to make others believe that TIA users were fabricating posts in order to frame trans people.

I think it's a decent portion, not the majority. It's possible that they're fewer than I think but just very vocal. The majority of comments in r/subredditdrama are happy that TIA was banned, and even some commenters in the KIA thread are.

Anything actually hateful, like what most sane people would classify as hateful, would get downvoted. The problem is that "hate" is apparently wildly subjective. Saying that transwomen shouldn't be able to compete in women's sports is likely considered "hate" by a good portion of Reddit users and likely all Reddit admins.
