Issue one is fixed if you go to preferences->content options->home page and set it to subscribed.

Oh perfect, that works exactly like how I'd want my home page to be. Interestingly that only seems to change the landing page (saidit.net) and not the page labelled home (/s/home), as subs I'm not subbed to are showing up in /s/home and not in the landing page, but it works the way I want regarding subscriptions. Thank you.

Yes /s/home is an actual sub type, and it means /s/all without /s/ads

NSFW can be in there, but if the sub is set to be excluded from all, it's also excluded from /s/home
