oh fuck off. it was real, and I tested it a few times to understand what I was seeing.

Apparently subs can set custom rules, or perhaps it was something /u/enfli or whatever his name is (u/d3rr ?) triggered when he was messing with the site.

Yes, subs have a rules feature, and if you start using it or put in a rule, then the 'report' menu will have different stuff. So there's like two major variations or something, I donno it's complicated.

seems like it depends on the sub. Most have options like this one, which I guess is default.

Seems to be so. This seems sensible. I assume the mods who receive such reports have the power to ban users from posting in their subs.
