Guys, I have a question. Yesterday I was blocked by Cloudflare's firewall with an Error 1020 reply screen, suggesting I was supposedly trying to "attack" Saidit. I obviously never did anything like that, I don't want to attack Saidit, so what triggered this? Is there something I can do on my side to prevent being blocked by Cloudflare's firewall again? I pinged and tracerouted while being blocked in the browser and the site was still up while I was blocked from accessing it. What this triggered by me or by yet another DDoS attack or what? Please let me know what is happening.

You posted too fast and was blocked.

How much should I wait in between posts?

More than 2 minutes, probably more.

If you are ever seeing a blank white screen, that means you're clicking too fast.

If it happens again let me know.

Clicking saidit links more than 3 times within a 1 second period. Voting doesn't come in to it, just when you click links to change pages. If you're not seeing a blank white screen then you're not triggering it at all.

    Alright, thanks! Will do.

Try accessing the site over Tor. Usually that would be horrible advice as Cloudflare will always serve to Tor users a captcha one needs to fill out in order to view the site… but a captcha is better than not being able to access the site at all.

(Speaking of which, how are you posting this???)

I really hate Cloudflare and how annoying it makes it for Tor users, especially when assets are stored on another Cloudflare-restricted domain and one has to go to them manually to fill out yet another captcha. It also promotes search engine monopolies. Sadly, moving SaidIt back away from it might be pretty hard, since it still gets so many DDOS attacks.

Sorry, I do not feel comfortable using Tor.

My guess is that I was unblocked eventually by Cloudflare. Maybe they saw me pinging/tracerouting and realized I was just just trying to reach the site? I guess it was just a temporary block. Magnora7 said was triggered by clicking too fast. I gotta be more zen about my clicking LOL!

Cloudfare has been nuts about this lately. I'm getting it on a lot of forums and stuff. I think it's because of the VPN server I'm using, but I'm not turning it off. Surely there is a better method of protection than merely looking at an ip address?
