Because retard.

I've seen it happen on both sides, have done it myself even, and had it done to me as well. The results are in: when we argue with other people, we are generally assholes and will go for the lowest blow possible sometimes to make our point come out as the winner-- even if that means silencing the other person or making them feel like they're not allowed to react. It's dirty, but we're stupid creatures. More extreme versions come off to me like serious control issues that might need outside help. It's unrealistic to be not pissed during an argument and just builds resentment if you feel like you can't show that.

Buddy you have one source and it doesn’t even support you argument.

There’s no legal requirement for spousal consent and no minimum age for vasectomy other than the minimum age of consent. But while it’s not necessary to have spousal consent, it’s a really good idea, and involving the spouse in the decision is encouraged.

Meaning literally no doctor is telling any young unmarried man he can’t get snipped because what will his future wife will think.

You know what I think about every time some kid does something violent and... it's the video games/movies/music...etc... lather rinse repeat...

I think of penny dreadfuls, the like OG violent, trashy entertainment, and how in 1880 a lawyer actually tried to have them banned because they were glamorizing the lives of pirates and scoundrels and encouraging children to run away and live as thieves... yep that 'think of the children' discourse has been running well over a hundred years.

Some things literally never change.

It's like the graffiti they finally managed to translate on the walls of Pompeii (oh everyone got so excited to see what the common man would write about his life and times)...

'I fucked many women here'

Phenomenal.

Same with feminist literature, some of it is still so on point even a hundred years later that it just is honestly horrific.

God, how I loved this quote, when first I heard it as a young teen! It truly had me considering the cost/benefits/risks of complying versus refusing the current social standards. Which led me to observe women's and men's behaviors and opinions, and judge, yes judge, them with my own developing common sense and gut instinct. At the time, I questioned only- judgement was within my own thoughts. But this practice served me well to becoming an adult human rather than a sheep.

The most common side effect was acne, and sometimes that acne was pretty severe. Some men also developed mood swings and in some cases those mood swings got pretty bad. One man developed severe depression, and another tried to commit suicide. Because of that, they cut the study short.

These aren't minor side effects that are few and far between, as with the pill.

Also women are happier unmarried and childless.

Some guy abusing some general data to flog his new book, source data which doesn't even make the claim. Are you really so gullible?

As I said... men really need to start embracing vasectomies and stop burdening women.

Your body, your choice, your responsibility. These are things women have been demanding for things like abortion. You can't have it both ways. If you want men to be 100% responsible for women getting pregnant, then they will have 100% responsibility for your choices thereafter.

That's a new version afaik, in the very early stages of testing. Hope it gets approved. There's also a fully reversible vasectomy in the works that uses dissolvable inserts to block sperm. But until those are on the market, and as free as female birth control is, then the onus is all on women. Your body, your choice. If you don't want to get pregnant, take some responsibility for yourself.

I should also say, be careful what you wish for. Because there is an awful lot of birth control fraud out there. Women that claim to be on birth control but are not, in order to trick men into having children they do not want. If you give men power over birth control, larger numbers of women will grow old and die childless, miserable and alone.

Because the trials for the male contraceptive had significant life threatening side effects, not the 1 in a million risk that female contraceptives have. You have to understand that those are the combined side effects for all the various types of female birth control out there. If one doesn't work for you, you can switch to another. You can even, god forbid, simply stay off them and avoid sex for the few days a month that you're fertile. The fact is that women that get accidentally pregnant just can't keep their legs shut long enough.

The article really is just pure ragebait garbage. At one point she's arguing for men to be castrated en masse to prevent abortions.

Like this gem?

Men seem unable (or unwilling) to admit that they cause 100% of them.

It's nonsense.

The side effects for many women include migraines, mood swings, decreased libido, depression, severe cramps, heavy bleeding, aneurysm — and that’s just a small fraction of them.

This is fake news. It's normal menstruation that cause those things, and there are types of birth control that stop menstruation completely.

Where would sex with a condom fall? A 7 or 8? So, it’s not that sex with a condom is not pleasurable, it’s just not as pleasurable. An 8 instead of a 10.

Actually for some loose women and older men, it's impossible to even maintain an erection with a condom. Enough of the womansplaining about men's pleasure please.

Intentions do matter, do they matter more than the impact you have though?

For instance, you’re driving and take your eyes off the road for a moment and hit someone, killing them... your intention of course wasn’t to kill them and the judge will likely take that into consideration during the trial but still...

You’ve killed someone, same result as if you deliberately ran them down. Their family won’t miss them less just because you didn’t mean to kill them.

We tend to focus a lot on our intentions sometimes without giving much thought to that fact that our actions have had devastating effects regardless.

I’ve also noticed that the intent with which people say, ‘my intentions were good’ differs. Some say it to give context to their actions, to assure the wronged person they didn’t mean to hurt them with no denial of the hurt they caused... others use it to excuse the hurt they’ve caused, ‘my intentions were good... so you can’t blame me if you got hurt’.
