Like this gem?

Men seem unable (or unwilling) to admit that they cause 100% of them.

It's nonsense.

The side effects for many women include migraines, mood swings, decreased libido, depression, severe cramps, heavy bleeding, aneurysm — and that’s just a small fraction of them.

This is fake news. It's normal menstruation that cause those things, and there are types of birth control that stop menstruation completely.

Where would sex with a condom fall? A 7 or 8? So, it’s not that sex with a condom is not pleasurable, it’s just not as pleasurable. An 8 instead of a 10.

Actually for some loose women and older men, it's impossible to even maintain an erection with a condom. Enough of the womansplaining about men's pleasure please.

You’re totally right, like totally fake news.

Meanwhile according to the article why don’t we have male oral contraceptives?

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (20 children)

Because the trials for the male contraceptive had significant life threatening side effects, not the 1 in a million risk that female contraceptives have. You have to understand that those are the combined side effects for all the various types of female birth control out there. If one doesn't work for you, you can switch to another. You can even, god forbid, simply stay off them and avoid sex for the few days a month that you're fertile. The fact is that women that get accidentally pregnant just can't keep their legs shut long enough.

The article really is just pure ragebait garbage. At one point she's arguing for men to be castrated en masse to prevent abortions.

Umm no try again...

Ps. If men don’t want to get a vasectomy why don’t they just avoid sex while they’re fertile and not looking to produce children.

[–]radfem[S] 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

Yep it absolutely will not hurt any man. Unlike pregnancy which kills thousands of women annually.

[–]anarchy753 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

No great loss if you're anything to base it off.

😂

[–]radfem[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's the spirit, now get out there and start converting your brothers, we gotta get this male responsibility train moving.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

That's a new version afaik, in the very early stages of testing. Hope it gets approved. There's also a fully reversible vasectomy in the works that uses dissolvable inserts to block sperm. But until those are on the market, and as free as female birth control is, then the onus is all on women. Your body, your choice. If you don't want to get pregnant, take some responsibility for yourself.

I should also say, be careful what you wish for. Because there is an awful lot of birth control fraud out there. Women that claim to be on birth control but are not, in order to trick men into having children they do not want. If you give men power over birth control, larger numbers of women will grow old and die childless, miserable and alone.

Actually as it turns out men are just babies when it comes to the mildest of side effects.

Also women are happier unmarried and childless.

As I said... men really need to start embracing vasectomies and stop burdening women.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

The most common side effect was acne, and sometimes that acne was pretty severe. Some men also developed mood swings and in some cases those mood swings got pretty bad. One man developed severe depression, and another tried to commit suicide. Because of that, they cut the study short.

These aren't minor side effects that are few and far between, as with the pill.

Also women are happier unmarried and childless.

Some guy abusing some general data to flog his new book, source data which doesn't even make the claim. Are you really so gullible?

As I said... men really need to start embracing vasectomies and stop burdening women.

Your body, your choice, your responsibility. These are things women have been demanding for things like abortion. You can't have it both ways. If you want men to be 100% responsible for women getting pregnant, then they will have 100% responsibility for your choices thereafter.

[–]radfem[S] 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

My man you clearly aren't a radical feminist, so I don't think this is the sub for you, as we don't indulge sealioning or other forms of trolling here.

You're absolutely right though, men really should start taking responsibility for their semen. Their body, their responsibility. Or you know, they could just not have sex, I'm still 100% behind that.

[–]missdaisycan 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Nah, how about you "wrap" or "fap" it, and myob.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (3 children)

You don't think men getting vasectomies are 'their own business'?

[–]yishengqingwa666 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Keep your d$$$ in your pants, wear a condom, or don't complain if a woman gets pregnant and you are saddled with child support for 18 years.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Keep your legs shut, take the pill, or don't complain when you get yourself pregnant and then start demanding mass sterilisation.

eta: With that said, I'm not sure who I'm trying to convince with this argument. It's clear the type of man hating mouth breathers this sub attracts have long since passed the point they were capable of conceiving, no matter how little responsibility they take for themselves.

[–]bald-janitor 2 insightful - 3 fun2 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

🙄

[–]yishengqingwa666 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You are lying.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's not that simple. You can get pregnant while in your period. You can also get pregnant while on the pill.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I have had horrible symptoms that didn't start until I got on birth control. When I went off of it they went away. It's pretty shitty to have to risk my health just so I can have sex.
