Since it can’t be spent, paying off the debt with these coins is a way to stick the current debt holders with what is, in essence, a worthless coin. I don’t mind giving a coin to China and cancelling our debt to them. Giving the Federal Reserve system a few of these coins and canceling debt would be a good thing.
