It gives people a sense that they can do something. Like in WW2, when it was encouraged for metal railings in churchyards etc to be removed, so that they can be melted into shells for the front. What actually happened is the railings remained in storage as the metal was unsuitable.

Exactly, it's psychologically beneficial. It feels better to do something than sit there and be at the whim of fate.

I read everything I could about viral infections and related topics like antivirals. It felt psychologically beneficial and it was actually beneficial. I learned I lot and found out I was wrong in a lot of my assumptions about infectious disease.

But wearing a useless doily on your face when you walk your dog is apparently what does it for some people.

So if the dude went in for surgery the doctor and staf don't need masks or even bother washing up. How can people have a shitforbrains so bad.

You understand that they open you up during surgery right? They aren't worried about you breathing in their germs as it is highly unlikely given that your face is likely covered and you have an oxygen mask on. They are more concerned over contaminating that gaping whole in your gut 2 feet from their faces.

You are awary even if someone has a cold that person can infect the patient, but then I guess a common cold is fake. Right

[–]turtlew0rk 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

What? Is this person in the operating room? Don't they have a mask on?

I have a meaningless life, I wish I was as stupid as the rest of them and bought into this mask bullshit. :/

Your life is not meaningless.
You are already here on a site that breaks barriers in thinking.
Keep going on!

Its religious garb. People miss the religious garb of olden times. They want to bring back the wimples. They are jealous of the burka. Soon scarlet A’s for all the nazis that wont take the jab. Submit!

Women have gained too much power within public life in our society and as a result everything has to be reacted to with a hysterical fanatacism. I really see this mask shit as being a very female driven problem. I just saw that AOC has sworn to keep wearing the mask even after mask mandates are dropped. Of course. She couldn’t just do whatever she thought was best for herself and shut up about it. She had to turn it in to a purity competition.

It is almost as if the Democrats adore slavery.

Its not surprising when you know who monopolized the slave trade on 4 continents since the roman empire.
