Every news station did opeds saying, most Congress-members made a point saying at some point, and many celebrities who know nothing said it. It was hard to miss and propagandized by huge corporate dark money election swaying shell companies like Rock The Vote and their 100's of clones. Yet, while you heard it a dozen times a day every day, it probably only lasted like 3 or 4 months.

It makes you wonder if the saying encouraged and radicalized impressionable people, resulting in the bipartisan Jan 6 civil uprising or shifty election things.

OK - point taken. Radicalized politics is indeed a massive problem, arising alongside the problems of larger sums of money in politics since the mid-'80s.
