Hahaha, yeah, I saw that one and that's the one that had me suddenly taking a much closer look at the rest of the comments.

That sub is awful even by Reddit standards. Every username I ever used there got banned quickly, often for trying to correct misinformation or bad advice.

I've heard that the best advice that that sub can give you is "get/you need a lawyer, right fucking now."

Though, occasionally, there's some helpful what kind of lawyer you might need as well. And the tree law shit is always good for entertainment. You mention a cut down tree in that sub, you'll have motherfuckers lined up 20 deep and 20 across to cite actually useful information at you :D.

Whenever I used them (recently) it was because I'd asked a slightly-legal question in some other 'any questions' sub and the mod removed it because legaladvice would help better.

Question literally sat there for 3 days before being answered by someone who didn't have an answer and that was the end of it. Oh wait no it also got a anecdotal story from someone actually somewhat helpful but it was immediately removed by a mod for being too human.

To quote ace ventura, well you did all you could, thanks for nothing.

This is before I realized its actually a sub to catch and neuter any advice that doesn't play into the system's hands.

Yeah that all sounds about right. That sub is like something from Stackoverflow.com, but even stupider. Nobody answers unless they get some cheap so-smart dopamine rush.

Splitting up meetings like that is so wong though

Nothing says open discussion like locking posts. I swear, I don't know how reddit can call itself an open forum for discussion when mods routinely lock said discussions as soon as anyone goes against the narrative.
