Lesfic does the same thing, but the majority is not written by actual lesbians; I assume most are married bisexuals or bisexuals with little experience with women. And it reads as fetish, the age gap bit. That is the grossest part because they make a whole thing of it. I feel like always having uneven power dynamics in lesbian media ends up seeping into the community and affects younger women. It’s really gross to see male, and mostly-straight female fantasies of lesbians and our connections become ideas commonly connected to us. Like the predatory lesbian trope. In age gap its usually the younger they frame as predatory when the older should know better. I am just so tired of seeing lesbianism being made into specific tropes.

Some age gap relationships work, but very few. One person eventually needs to leave to grow

Because lesfic is foreign to me, what you said is disappointing news, but not entirely surprising.

I very much agree with this, have seen it with people I know:

One person eventually needs to leave to grow

I'd also like to highlight that with the lesbian movies being seen as Oscar vehicles now, there are a few tropes that are perpetuated by the straight actresses themselves. Thankfully they are starting to get advisers, consultants for some movies, including for choreographing sex scenes, so it's less bothersome now.

Edit: clarity

99.9% of bisexuals are straight.
