I'm curious if people have been following the TIA sub on saidit. It's kind of disappointing how many extreme right weirdos seem to be here over what was on reddit.

Yes. It was to be expected though once TIA came over here. I was also prepared for the drop in variety of topics once they did too(though that is mostly due to the much smaller audience).

My main contention with the attitude there towards the topic of transition(now even more a feature of that sub then before) is the solution generally just boils down to, "Don't do it".

While I agree that is the end result most of us would want(and it is simply for many who identify as trans for opportunistic reasons), I think for some, this approach can be akin to telling an alcoholic to "Just Stop Drinking". I mean, they should stop drinking- for their own good and others, but there's clearly so much more to it then that. Much more then a problem of plain willpower, to resist unhealthy "hedonism".

And on that point, I don't know about the attitude towards these issues being just "the TQ+(and just as frequently- the LGBTQ+) doing bad things" all of a sudden, as if it was exclusive to the folx of acronym because that's where all the messed-up concentrate, and everyone else was normal, noble and had no role to play in this gender identity dumpster fire.

Transgenders didn't create the tool of Gender, they just picked it up. People crafted it because they were skeevy about the reality of sex and the sexes(usually for religious/ideological reasons) and also wanted to control the behavior of men and women(but mainly women), and the existence of trans, nonbinaries, etc. stem from this(including the opportunity to exploit such identities).

I have said before that common statements like, "Be a man.", or "Be a woman." fit comfortably into trans ideology. And yet, I can imagine many of the same type of people currently criticizing the trans to use these kinds of phrases unironically and without hesitation; To control other's behavior. I mean, what did they think would happen? Myopia.
