Damn this shit is getting old. She's lucky he didn't react in some other way—what an asshole (her).

ever since I was a teenager the look of a vagina has made me physically sick

I have no clue how common this reaction to an opposite sex's genitalia is in the world, but it immediately made me wonder if there's a history of SA in his life, perhaps from someone female. That's a pretty intense reaction.

To be fair, he did say:

ever since I was a teenager the look of a vagina has made me physically sick, and that, along with some alcohol and the shock, just caused me to lose my dinner.

Not saying your conjecture is unreasonable! I mean, if he did have that history, then I certainly wouldn't blame him for not mentioning it on a controversial Reddit post where he might've gotten torn to shreds. But I could honestly see the reasons he gave as being enough to elicit that reaction-- for some people, anyway.

Well yeah. It's just that he highlighted the "physically sick" part without any qualifiers. He might have amplified the degree of sickness in this instance, but the potential for that visceral reaction apparently precedes any such exacerbation.

I suppose someone could just react that way w/o a trauma history. I sure am glad I don't, either way. Perhaps it's the genital-aesthetic version of misophonia.
