Always good advice. I appreciate you suggesting those pointers, they seem common-sense but honestly I feel like a lot of the teens/young adults in LGBTQ+ communities are undereducated/naive when it comes to safety with strangers.

Yes. And the more isolated or lonelier you are the bigger of a target you are. I'd always suggest getting some seasoned advice about screening that's relevant to the location in question, as this is not something I've had to do, but I would be using the resources at my disposal (background checks, checking references, social media, etc.) liberally in the same situation. No fucking around with who gets to share your home with you.
