Is it plausible for most mtf transitions to just be “good guys” or “neck beards” that couldn’t keep women interested in them as a man, so now that they’re transitioning they’re using the same manipulation tactics to try to win some women?

Yah, it's the incel-to-trans pipeline

A question I wonder about too. Especially with one MtF friend who is a quiet, gentle, effiminate soul, though, so probably was getting overlooked more often than other men. I can see where it might be possible to kid yourself that it will get better if you transition, if you already are feeling unwanted anyway—how would you know it won't get easier if it has always been hard? At least you get the mirage of a group to belong to.

I think the best way to see whether they're actually incels is to see whether they fully transition, or just put on clothes and 'socially' transition.
