Rogan later said about transitioning, “Human beings if they want to do this as an adult, and they know for a fact they want to do it as an adult, then they should be able to make their own choices. But when you have really young children and you have all this reinforcement from people and trans activists, like literally encourage people to do this, you can’t quantify what’s going on inside a person’s mind.”

How the hell is this "hate speech" again?

Acknowledging the biological reality of there being only two sexes in humans is transphobic. Acknowledging that children do not have the cognitive maturity to make informed decisions about serious, irreversible, life-long medical surgeries is transphobic.

Anyone else unironically admire Joe Rogan? He seems to be smart and a link between left and right who listens to both sides, while pushing back on obvious bullshit.

I also thinks he's fucking sexy, would love to have him teach me some "wrestling" moves ;)

I do not always agree with he says, but I appreciate that he takes the time to interview people from across the political spectrum and with a wide variety of views. And that he does long interviews, with a lot of detail. Wish he would get that guy from the Tavistock on, the one who said that the gender clinic was performing conversion therapy. Dr. Bell I think.

I'll leave that to you and him haha.

I find him extremely inarticulate. That being said, I think he can be a great interviewer because he has on really interesting guests, and then asks the dumb, but curious, questions, that a not-too-bright layperson would, which makes the geniuses he has on accessible.

While I agree with him on this issue, I really don’t care for him. He’s just another libertarian dude-bro who other libertarian dude-bros think is the end all and be all of podcast philosophers.

Agreed. He's got high emotional intelligence, and he's open-minded - but not so open-minded that his brains fall out. I love the contradiction of this big strong wrestler who has three daughters and is willing to learn stuff from a wide range of people. He's like a dangerous but kind teddy bear.

His show is a great primer to these issues for unaffiliated and uninvolved centrists. Like a Gateway drug to harder topics. DMT?..

I thought JR was hot af back when he was younger and acting.

I’m actually fucking dying laughing at Fox being dumb and fragile enough to suggest one of the world’s most popular podcasts be canceled on account of his fee-fees. Joe Rogan is the JKR of the podcast world. You cannot cancel him. Die mad about it.

The reason Joe is popular is because he is just the average Joe. He doesn't know more or less than the average person & his opinions aren't extreme in either direction. I think, therefore, that looking at his opinions are an effective way of finding the pulse of the majority.

However, that's not the same as knowing whether the wind is changing. In many ways self-identification ideology is not mainstream, otherwise "gender reveal parties" would be considered some sort of political statement.

Since the 21st century, it's been difficult to make anything completely mainstream. The advent of social media has divided people up into a million niches. So perhaps the expectation that there will ever be a mainstream opinion on this or any other topic again is a futile & anachronistic one.

There is no overlap between the Rogan & trans circles. Only dude-bros seem to be fans of his. Fauxminists are the ones who need convincing.

Ah Fallon fox. The bloke who entered MMA fighting as a women without disclosing he transitioned a year before and broke a woman's skull, ending her career, in the ring in like a minute to then boast and laugh about it on twitter...

What a prick.

Rogan said about trans people, “And then people who were marginalized for being, like, generally dumb people, if they transfer over and become another gender, then they get praised. There’s been a lot of people who are, like, idiots, but then they become trans, and now all of a sudden we think they’re amazing.”

For when you aren't just cutting to the chase, you're cutting the rest of the film. (See entire article for context, though I wonder if more preceded this comment, because it sounds like he's referring to the trenders.)

"Idiots" is a nice way of saying people with narcissism problems, who do indeed appear idiot-like when chasing validation at all costs (or trying to destroy someone's life at all costs).

He really could have said criminals who committed heinous acts being praised as stunning and brave after transitioning, like Jenner or that bloke who spoke at Women’s march after raping a woman 🤦‍♀️

He should have been booed off the stage. Instead he is allowed to speak on behalf and over women. I just can’t slap my forehead anymore without getting whiplash.

But I guess ‚idiots’ still applies to people who say things like: “the hardest part about being a woman is choosing what to wear”.

Joe Rogan isn't always the most articulate, especially on gender identity issues (I've seen him use the word 'TERF' casually as though he doesn't understand its implications) but he is an important free speech advocate and he gives a platform to many people better informed than him (Gad Saad, Debra Soh, Abigal Shrier).

It feels like he used to only care about the sports issue, but I think the controversy at Spotify over Abigail Shrier really peaked him. He knows she and he aren't doing anything wrong.

I think when a critical mass of the general population learns about about the reality of transitioning children, it's going to blow up into a major scandal. Thus far, they've mostly managed to fly under the radar and entrench themselves without most people knowing anything about it, but that will change.

I was talking to some random customer service rep a few months ago and we got on my favorite topic.

The customer service rep said he'd heard Joe Rogan talk to Abigail Shrier (the author of IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE about how young girls are being sucked into the fad of thinking they're transgender) and now was terrified that someone would try to transition his daughter, or assault her in her locker room. The customer service rep. said that he'd voted for Trump as a result.

All to say that I agree - once the general population learns that Lupron, the puberty blocker most used in the US, is used to chemically castrate sex offenders, I think a lot of the gender game will be up. Let's hope it happens soon.

He's said these things a lot longer than a month ago.

I love how he is painted as the absolute evil from every fathom of wokeness and is 100% just a chill guy inviting astrophysicists and free climbers and psychologists and specialized specific historians to sit down and have a chat.
