The woman I’m seeing is a lesbian who went to college on a Division 1 full ride scholarship for sports and played multiple sports since she was a kid. A large portion of her team members were also lesbian and bisexual women. This issue has shaken her.

Most people I’m close with are liberal and not a single one thinks that biological males should be in women/girl’s sports. They really thought this whole movement was about being nice, not denying biological reality and they are suddenly waking up. That being said, while it’s easy to get men to understand this, it’s a lot harder for them to actively care and stand up for women.

What about the woman you're seeing? Will she and her former teammates stand up?

I've found, in my relatively long life, that sometimes it takes a few people to stand up to the mob, and then everyone else who's secretly held the same opinion, gather courage and will stand behind them. I hope that happens here.
