This is like someone who buys a house on the coast of the southeastern U.S. and then gets upset about hurricanes -- or someone who moves to California and is surprised that there are wildfires and earthquakes.

How naive do you have to be not to see this coming?

Well I bought a house directly on the San Andreas fault, but I didn’t think it would be my house that was destroyed in an earthquake.
