Given that Critical Race Theory is held dear by many of the same people who hold Queer Theory dear, I wonder what kind of backlash, if any, Kendi is getting and if he'll soon be dragooned by the Genderists into being forced to have a public come to Queer Theory moment and recant his heresy.

Kendi will probably also have to make amends to the Gods of Gender by endorsing the teaching of Queer Theory in nursery schools or something.

This headline is overstated IMO. He may have meant that but he used very careful language so I think his words end up being more of a Rorschach test.

That's an interesting interpretation of it. Neutral words being used to test how people emotionally react to them, revealing a part of their true nature.

I like it

I re-listened to Kendi for the fourth time and I think he was pretty clear on his opposition to gender ideology. Kendi used the word "horrifying" to describe his daughter expressing a desire to be a boy.

I myself wouldn't call that or the rest of what Kendi said "careful language." In fact, I was shocked at how blunt he was, especially given that he was speaking to teachers.

However, I got the feeling that Kendi is a newbie to the discussion around gender and so was giving his honest opinion.
