This headline is overstated IMO. He may have meant that but he used very careful language so I think his words end up being more of a Rorschach test.

That's an interesting interpretation of it. Neutral words being used to test how people emotionally react to them, revealing a part of their true nature.

I re-listened to Kendi for the fourth time and I think he was pretty clear on his opposition to gender ideology. Kendi used the word "horrifying" to describe his daughter expressing a desire to be a boy.

I myself wouldn't call that or the rest of what Kendi said "careful language." In fact, I was shocked at how blunt he was, especially given that he was speaking to teachers.

However, I got the feeling that Kendi is a newbie to the discussion around gender and so was giving his honest opinion.
