Lesbian and Gay News will accept that a lesbian woman’s viewpoint may not be exactly the same as LGBTQIA+ groupthink and that a gay man may not have exactly the same perspective as a transman, or non-binary man, or a man who defines himself as queer. "

I'm guessing to avoid being called "bigots" right off the bat. And old school trans-sexuals are often well-aware that the gender lobby is madness and doesn't represent their interests either.

If the transgender people involved are actual homosexuals or bisexuals, I think I'd be okay with it. If they start pushing cotton/boxer ceiling rhetoric or claiming they're lichrally in the wrong body though I'll definitely be writing to the editor.

I hope they're just saying that to appear inclusive when they aren't. The bar is pretty low nowadays, literally no proof is needed to identify as whatever you want, so it's an easy system to exploit
