But also you're a bigot if you refer to it as a mental illness. Because it's not an illness. It's a normal human variation. But insurance should pay to treat it. But it's not a mental illness. And it's not cosmetic, it's lifesaving treatment. Treatment for something that is not an illness, and should be covered by insurance, to prevent suicides, but it's not a mental illness.

They don't even try to say that they're sick until transition cures them, they just don't want to at all be associated with illness until it suits them.

No sick person who wants treatment tries to say they aren't sick.

I'm starting to suspect that TRAs are ableist. They'll self-diagnose every invisible illness under the sun and bitch about spoons to avoid being held responsible for anything, but when it comes to the one highly visible aspect of their psyches (i.e being trans and transitioning) suddenly they don't want to be labeled with a disorder.
