I didn't hit a paywall (I'm in Australia) - great to see such a sensible piece in the mainstream media, though I would have loved to see comments - the TRAs would be spitting chips!

Unfortunately, the telegraph is conservative (from my experience), so liberals won't take it seriously.

Even when its in a left-wing paper they won't - their minds are already made up and they 'know' anyone who asks any questions is just a bigot masquerading hate with false concern. The Guardian has published some trans-critical pieces and they just dismiss it as a 'terf rag' for that reason. Its maddening.

It’s a good article though, but I don’t think we’ve hit peak mad. Wait until Labour get in. (As a leftist, this kills me, but the conservatives are the only thing standing in the way of trashing women’s rights)
