I think I'm done with this sub, tbh.

If only more people could be like you in this respect then the world would be a better place.

People here will happily upvote "trans women are women" and similar sentiments, but ask for a bit of introspection about how the language they use can be alienating to other users and suddenly you're Orwellian dictators suppressing free speech.

This guy seems completely ignorant to how much censorship is occurring on this one page alone.

I truly can't imagine this community generating this much outrage over a desire to express their disgust for any other sort of women. Lesbians who aren't attracted to butch women manage to be tactful about it, lesbians who aren't attracted to fat women are more than polite, but apparently nuance becomes impossible when it comes to penises — "remember that some women here have dicks" is warped into "you cannot ever express a negative opinion about dicks".

The sea of red comments says otherwise. There is no tolerance of "nuance" at all.

But I see all the users here fighting for the right to deny trans women the expectation of considerate language, the right to carve out a little niche for us

An expectation is not a right either. But it's not inconsiderate to tell someone the truth. It is the most considerate language of all. Your niche does not belong in this sub.

the right to carve out a little niche for us as acceptable collateral damage of their dislike of men.

Anyone know what this last sentence means?

[–]Three_oneFourWanted for thought crimes in countless ideologies 20 insightful - 4 fun20 insightful - 3 fun21 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

I think the last sentence means that the men of AL are percieving the opinions of lesbians not wanting to have sex with men to mean that the lesbians are putting the men of AL in a category of priority below the lesbians' right to declare that they are not attracted to men or their sex organs.

The transwomen are accusing the lesbians of not caring about misgendering or "making blanket statements about penises" when it comes to being a lesbian and therefore not being attracted to men or penises
