Can you give me an example of what you mean by "being dominated by trans posts"? Because when I look at the new feed, I see 2 posts about "being trans" out of the first 100, and one of them is from a non-binary they them wondering if they can be a lesbian.

I mean not just posts about being trans but posts BY trans people. If you're in doubt about how many trans people there are on AL, they posted a demographics survey recently. I did some data analysis on it here: https://saidit.net/s/Lesbians/comments/64mp/i_did_some_data_analysis_on_the_al_demographics/

From the survey...

  • Of the AL users who self-identify as "lesbian", 45% are trans (or questioning their gender identity). So about half of people who post as a "lesbian" or claim that they are one, are actually not. That's a lot of people.
  • Of the AL users, about 36.5% are trans, overall. (direct link: https://imgur.com/tl7l0bm)

Anecdotally, you can just look at the comments and see how often "transbian" or "trans lesbian" flairs come up. See any "cisbian" or "cis lesbian" flairs? Way fewer, I'm guessing...

Now, you might be like, "okay, 36-45% is a lot but it's not technically a majority, how can you say that trans people dominate AL?" Well, just look at what gets banned and what is allowed and heavily celebrated. You see comments and memes everywhere about "sword lesbians" which is often used as a euphemism for "lesbians" with dicks, for example. But if you need more examples of the trans bias on AL, this sub has a bunch of examples that have been posted about it.

Are they banning women for being same-sex attracted?

Yes, here is a recent example and there are many others: https://imgur.com/R7mJPWU (discussion: https://saidit.net/s/LGBDropTheT/comments/6xrd/actuallesbians_mods_are_gutter_trash_lmao/)
