If you date females, you're not gay.

I beg to differ. You can only be gay by dating females. This is 2020!

Unless you're also female.

But what if your husband loses his dick in a car accident???? Would he be female now? Of course not! Gotcha terves!

for the first time I actually saw myself decking someone in the face!

Says someone who would probably get his ass kicked in a fight with anyone.

Why do we preach tolerance and acceptance and yet we remain as narrow-minded as, let’s say, someone who believes marriage should exist slowly between a man and a woman?

Tolerance and acceptance =/= fucking someone

I am impressed that he uses another homophobic argument to justify his homophobia without the irony ever dawning on him.

I absolutely loathe this line of thinking. Yes, gay people were oppressed, rejected, and marginalized. That doesn't mean we need to turn around and accept absolutely everyone into the LGBT community. We still need to draw a line somewhere. And besides, this isn't even a conversation on accepting people into the LGBT community - it's a conversation on who we should be open to fucking. So we shouldn't have genital preferences because gay people were rejected? Come on. Horrifying logic.

[–]julesburm1891 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah. All the hot button gay issues revolve around the following people claiming to belong with LGB people: straight people who think they’re the opposite sex, straight people with weird fetishes, straight people into bdsm, straight people who don’t want to have sex, emotionally stunted straight people who can’t handle relationships, straight people who want to bone multiple people, straight people who want attention, and pedophiles.

Aside from pedophiles, whatever. People can do whatever they want in their private lives with other consenting adults. But that doesn’t make them LGB, nor should we be forced to accommodate them. LGB people setting reasonable boundaries isn’t hateful.

Thank you for this list of why I'm horrified at the idea of the general public associating me with this Insane Clown Posse (I don't care if this name is already taken).

And besides, this isn't even a conversation on accepting people into the LGBT community - it's a conversation on who we should be open to fucking.

You know, there are unfortunately a lot of porn stars and porn companies that advertise themselves as gay content who are producing bi content. And not just FtM content, also full blown bi content with cis women.

Of course fans get disappointed. And you always see responses like "B is also part of LGBT", "you complain about homophobia but you don't respect bisexuality", "you're so narrow minded", etc. I don't know if it's out of malice or if they're just dumb. But yeah, obviously if you're gay looking for gay content you'll want - shock - gay content.

On top of that, isn't it funny how this only happens for gay and lesbian content? When it comes to straight stars and companies, they won't cross the line for bi content. Not even MtF content. Straight stars and companies that do bi content clearly label themselves as bi. Straight stars and companies that do content with MtF clearly label it this way.

If a physically, stereotypically masc trans man had also had sexual reassignment surgery on all external sexual organs, would this still be an incompatibility for you?

I mean, apart from all the other issues, it's hilarious how they think surgery will suddenly give you a real functioning dick identical to cis men. Hell, not even their chests come out like men, let alone a penis.

[–]ThrowMeAway2879[S] 15 insightful - 4 fun15 insightful - 3 fun16 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

IIRC there is a guy in there who literally claims that phalloplasty gives someone an actual penis.

[–]oyasuminasai50 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Goes to show how uneducated these idiots really are. Bottom surgeries, especially phallos, are far and away not going to resemble a cis penis in neither form nor function. There is generally no erotic sensation they feel in the penis. There is no ejaculation, no natural erection (only a "rod" or some pumping mechanism).

TBF that's bad, even for phalloplasty, but... GOOD GOD!

WTF?! It looks like a mushroom... why did whichever quack surgeon that did this decide to make it so stubby yet wide?

[–]julesburm1891 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Same thought. I don’t have experience with dicks, but it seems like it’s too wide. Could that even comfortably fit in a vagina or an asshole?

I love this thought exercise cause they tag on so many qualifying statements it renders their entire argument useless...

Fun fact: The most active mod on that sub is directly involved in the discussion and moderating the thread at the same time. Funny that.

The workplace is not an appropriate setting to stand around talking about dicks.

I was curious if this was another two-day old bait account and caught this bit while I was poking around: "If I lived in an area where trans men were more present . . . I’m pretty sure I would have dated/been dating them by now." LOL yeah that's how self-discovery works, hypotheticals! Just think really really hard about what it might be like to kiss trans celebrities and porn stars and if it doesn't make you puke, that's totally exactly the same as being face-to-face with someone no professional lights no photoshop no makeup and probably started T a week ago lmaaoooooo

Half the comments: "Well I'm a trans man so..."

[–]fuck_reddit 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

This really shows that words like "tolerate," "accept," "like," and "love" have all been made synonyms. I am tolerant. I am not loving towards everyone. The two are not mutually exclusive. I tolerate trans people, and in many cases, I accept them. I am under absolutely NO obligation to like or love a trans person, let alone sleep with them. I ask that people tolerate me as a gay man. From there, it's on me to work for their acceptance and friendship.

[–]8bitgay 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

There was this post here sometime ago that really put it in evidence. Some non-binary person wrote a piece about how he and his friends have lots of followers and people who appreciate their work, but they don't have a lot of luck with gay men in dating apps.

So not only they are tolerated and accepted, they are even admired. But what they actually look for, what they actually mean with "respect" is sex and romance. And not from anyone either, it must be from gay men and lesbian women. I'm sure there are many pansexual people out there who would be fine with dating TQ+ people, but of course pansexuals don't validate them enough.

It's outright frightening how fast and how far we stray from science. This shit is cult-like and dangerous.

My question is why is this person so obsessed with being Real Gay? Like... you do know it's fine to not be 100% homosexual, right? Fuck, I just came to realize recently that I'm probably like 99% gay and dropping. I am OVER THE MOON, relieved that it doesn't seem to be fixed and exclusive.

Nothing wrong with being straight. Nothing wrong with being bi. Nothing wrong with being "Homoflexible", questioning, complicated sexuality or someone who has exceptions. I will never understand this obsession with "gay" as an aesthetic and, in both men and women, this "gold star" horseshit.

If you only lick cock and are a man you are gay

If you only like pussy and are a man you are straight

If you like both and are a man you are bisexual.
