Agree that MOGAI is harmful to sexual minorities. We joke about "icecreamgender" and whatnot here, but the popularity of these fake "minority groups" encourages people to make light of the real discrimination we face as people attracted to our own sex.

We have discussed here before how the LG "ball" T -style groups normalize transing children, regularly encouraging young adolescents to start on testosterone and estrogen. But, I think they are actually harmful in a second, distinctive way that is worth talking about-- they encourage MOGAI "identities".

It seems like this site supports all of this + bullshit in the ''official'' LGBTQIA2S+ community like genderfluid, agender or polygender.

Honestly, this whole ''nonbinary'' thing should be classified as MOGAI too tbh. This whole idea that you can have no gender, be ''in between'' male and female, have multiple genders, have your gender change over time, have only half of your gender (???) or be a completely separate gender than male and female altogether (like aporagender, mauverique or aliagender) is completely ridiculous. I don't even know why this nonsense is concidered real or even classified as a part of the LGBT community, seriously!

And let's not forget shit like this doesn't exist outside of college campuses or ultra liberal bubbles. Most see those genderspecials for what they are: men or woman.

In human history most of these snowflake identities have been used to segregate, not liberate, gender non-conforming people.

Isn't this stuff pretty much restricted to self-obsessed teenagers posting online though? I'm not aware that even university LGBT groups push this stuff (although they do take non-binary seriously, which is the root of all this - if you untether gender from the material reality of the body, then it can be literally anything). Maybe it'll be dangerous if adults take it seriously, but it's so absurd I don't see it ever becoming more than a teen LARP.

I went on an exceedingly woke app before and it had fae/faer listed in the pronoun list. It was not an app targeted at children/teens.

So they are coddling people with peter pan syndrome? How considerate of them!

I'm not sure about that. Adults DO take nonbinarity seriously right now. Why do you think numerous companies and charities are so keen on supporting ''trans rights''? Or why do you think there is a third gender option in some countries? Why do you think there's more and more nonbinary stuff in media?

Yes, exactly. The few universities I've interacted with in an official capacity have overwhelmingly pushes neopronouns and nonbinary identities. It's on all their surveys. And, like you said, most of the MOGAI people would just argue they are nonbinary and therefore as "valid" as the rest of the people who self-identify as transgender.

Hyperbole much?

It's stupid as fuck (and not to mention disrespectful to intersex people) but it's not "a danger." Most people on here are living cushy ass lives, someone using neopronouns isn't going to LiTeRaLly EnDaNgEr YoUr LiFe. Even most trans don't take MOGAI seriously. NOBODY takes MOGAI seriously outside of Tumblr and Twitter circles.

If anything, it's most harmful to intersex people since we're an actual minority group lacking rights in first world countries, & are constantly being harmed by shit like this, but no. It's always about the poor LGB (that has a shit ton of undying support and resources that intersex people don't)
