That makes sense. Homosexuals were defined long before we started fighting for our rights. And the rights we were after were rights that straight people enjoyed that were denied to us, which made it easy to identify them. The remaining issues that we wanted written into law were protections, since there was a legitimate bias in many places that warranted protection from discrimination.

Everything T and onward, however, has no framework. There are a few issues that they could grab onto without inventing, like men not being allowed in women's restrooms, but after that, there was nothing concrete that they wanted, so there was no reason to make themselves concrete. The "rights" that they are after are not rights that they are denied but cis people enjoy, they are privileges that would be exclusive to them, so any real definition could only hurt them. By keeping things stupid, they can change anything they want at any time when it is convenient to them, like when someone points out how homophobic they are.
