This isn’t true... radfems do a lot of activism and political protesting. Especially in the UK. They are outnumbered but they often get involved in govt and talk to officials about issues. However just because they try doesn’t mean they’ll be successful especially when they’re opposed by very highly funded orgs... but they do try. Also yes visibility of an LGB alliance is important, funding the org itself is also important.

Well if they do, clearly it hasn't got very far, has it? Considering I've never heard of a radfem protest that wasn't some Tumblr/Reddit petition.

...It's really not when it doesn't do anything and gives off tons of red flags. I hope it doesn't get visibility because it's very suspicious. And if I'm right and it turns out it was a scam, or something worse like an actively harmful agenda, I don't want people on here all suddenly saying "grrrr I always knew it, I was never supporting it, that nasty alliance came in and TOOK OUR SPACES" like people backpedal on trans issues.

Yes they do... they were a big reason for some things about trans education in schools getting overturned recently. Again in the UK especially their groups are pretty influential and write to politicians. They also tend to spread awareness of predatory situations such as Jessica Yaniv among others... often they are the ones who find these people and lead to news stations picking up the story. Then public opinion changes.

Plus you have to keep in mind that they are a small, widely hated group with a lot of opposition, it’s hard to advocate in that situation. The opposition is much bigger, supported by a lot of funding and companies. Does not have to be anonymous... So many people are afraid to associate their face with anti-trans things because they can lose their job for example... I will be staying anonymous for that reason though I am not a radfem. Also there is nothing wrong with an online protest, especially when you are trying to change policies pushed by organizations with more money and power than you your best chance is to reach the people... and again especially when many would be hesitant to publicly identify as radfem due to hate, violence, job loss, character attacks.

Im not an expert on LGB alliance itself, but whether or not LGB alliance specifically is good doesn’t change that we need an organization that advocates for LGB separately. And they need visibility from funding so people know that LGB does not necessarily mean TQ... most people don’t

I think the pushback in the UK and the successes that have been achieved so far are down to a mixture of different people - Most of the push seems to have come from women and women's groups but they are not all radfem by any means. Women's Place UK is a socialist feminist organisations, Fair Play For Women isn't particularly aligned to any particular feminist ideology as far as I am aware, Posie Parker doesn't even call herself a feminist - That's just a few groups off the top of my head and they will all have some kind of link with some radfems somewhere along the line (eg have invited a radfem to speak at an event, have radfem supporters) but it is definitely not just radfems behind this (although I bet they'll try to take the credit!). A lot of it is just ordinary women who think this is ridiculous and are taking a stand.

I never said it was only radfems behind it, I said that they were a big reason for it and do political protests
