It's all gaslighting. They're convincing the people who don't know any better that the LGBTQIALMNOP+++ is all one community that all agrees on everything, so if you think the gays should get married, then you automatically must support trans "rights" because it's all the same thing.

Then, when every form has an "other" option for gender, and every school lets students choose which bathroom to use, and doctors are giving hormones to minors, it makes us question our own sanity to see that society has all bought into it. It makes society think we're the bad ones for not supporting trans "rights" when all of the LGBT+++++ is supposed to love each other.

We need to fight it and help people realize they've been tricked. We need to let people peak while protecting those who haven't drank the koolaid yet. We need to show everyone that LBG has nothing to do with anything after it, and that the TQ+ inherently is a slippery slope. Unfortunately, some people have noticed the second part without the first, so they assume that LBG is the first step onto that slope. It doesn't help that there is an overwhelming amount of evidence in the form of self hating morons that spread the hatred of the T on their behalf.

Honestly, it shouldn't be called trans, it should respectfully be what's named, gender dysphoria.

The name they used for it before was Gender Identity Disorder, they changed it to Gender Dysphoria to make it less clinical. TRAs have successfully argued that what they're experiencing doesn't require treatment but instead is something everyone else needs to accept for years. The writing was on the wall, unfortunately, it was just too small to read then.

THE ORIGINAL TEXT IS FROM THE LGBDROPTHET GULID ON RUQQUS!

I like Ruqqus's layout but the LGBDropTheT guild on there seems to either be created or modded by a troll, if you go to the profile it literally says

Radical lesbian conservative and dick-bitch enthusiast.

Her (?) icon and banner is futa porn, she (??) created a futa porn guild, too. Futa, so you don't have to look it up if you don't know, are men with breasts, penis and all.

The amount of people I've seen now who claim that gender dysphoria never goes away on its own and no amount of therapy will ever cure it, and that immediate transition is the only option (all while claiming transitioning is 100% risk-free, naturally) is incredibly concerning.

To these people, even suggesting an alternative to transitioning is met with accusations of transphobia and "denying trans kids' right to exist". And of course that good old suicide statistic will be brought up so they can accuse you of murdering scores of trans kids with your bigotry.

I've said this before, but it's a craze. It's a fucking weird social fad that people with fragile identities are being sold on as the solution that will make them feel whole and right. There aren't suddenly large portions of the populace who somehow aren't the sex that they are.

I take a lot of surveys for side cash (especially around the holidays) and Im seeing it more and more. Almost all of them have female, male, and other but too many are going even more in depth. Some have the typical with transgender added as an option and for other: write in. I always chuckle at that though because you know they just pick whatever they want and not the transgender option. So many important surveys probably really skewed on demograph. Some just leave gender as a write in and I always make sure to put female instead of woman.

The problem as a whole is wokeness. Plenty of plenty of people on this sub still subscribe to it and are only here because the T personally affect them. How many people here think whiteness is a problem? Or being male? How many believe Covid should have shut down the country for as long as it did? How about no human is illegal? The list goes on and on. If you are subscribing to all leftist/progessive views besides the TRA agenda, you are still part of the problem.

In other words you demand everyone on this sub subscribe to the same anti-sjw, covid conspiracy, anti-blm views as you? So essentially intersectionality but every view flipped? If everyone doesn't believe the same things as you they're part of the problem?

Sounds pretty intolerant, Poo.

The thing is the critical race and critical queer theory are all intertwined now. Blm was founded by two lesbians who fully support the crazy trans stuff. Both are postmodernism reductions and identity politics, imo

[–]GoValidateYourselfuseful lesbian 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They might be both based on postmodernism, but queer theory has roots in Simone de Beauvoir's writings, and Judith Butler's interpretations of them no? I get the sense crt is a new thing. Lots of people who subscribe to one tend to subscribe to the other b/c they follow "intersectionality". My point was that this sub is not dedicated to being anti-CRT, just for dropping the T from lgbt.

Also, this has nothing to do with covid conspiracy crap, or flat earth, or 911, or area 51, or any other fucking conspiracy bullshit. No one has the right to demand we all believe the same things. It's irrelevant, detracts from the point of this group, and makes the rest of us look like fucking loons.

Intertwined but opposite with the power to each invalidate the other. Critical race theory requires fixed "identity" categories that no one can opt of or choose and queer theory requires no fixed "identity" categories and everyone can choose to "identify" into whatever category and define themselves in whatever way pleases them the most.

[–]xanditAGAB (Assigned Gay at Birth) 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

But someone bi racial can choose to identify as one race or another? That’s not fixed

[–]yousaythosethingsFind and Replace "gatekeeping" with "having boundaries" 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I don’t subscribe to these theories but I think it first of all depends on the races at issue. I think a lot of biracial mixes are kind of viewed as their own thing more than a mix of two. I’m very much white, not mixed, and flying a bit blind here, so everyone else feel free to correct this.

Anyway, if someone is hapa (half Asian), my understanding is that that person often gets treated as kind of an other all around, rather than being specially biracial. I’ve heard something to this effect from people of various Asian backgrounds.

With white parent + black parent, I think there’s a visible spectrum. For example, most people don’t figure out on their own that Pete Wentz, Meghan Markle, and Halsey have black heritage but each has one white and one black parent. Does that mean they get a choice in how they “identify?” I have no idea how that works for them honestly. But for one of my good friends who has a black father but was raised predominantly by her white, high power executive mother in one of the poshest places in America, she is visibly black, but has a complex relationship with her race. And I am not in a position to unpack it. She also gets mistaken for Hispanic a lot. Likewise, what choice does biracial Barack Obama have in how he “identifies” vs. how the world sees him? Like I said, I’m not really in any position to talk about this so I feel a bit silly, but if SailorMoon is around, maybe she did share her insight? I do believe that race isn’t necessarily an inherently a stable category, but I also don’t adhere to critical race theory.

Get over yourself. I didn't demand anything. Im pointing out that the reason the TRAs have taken over has to do with a wider range of thinking than the people saying "how did this happen," are admitting to themselves. Furthermore, saying white ment aren't evil isnt intersectionality flipped. That's just gaslighting on your part.

[–]GoValidateYourselfuseful lesbian 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

If you are subscribing to all leftist/progessive views besides the TRA agenda, you are still part of the problem.

How is this not demanding everyone conform to your views? That's saying "everyone who believes X is a problem" then turning around and saying "nobody's saying everyone has to believe Y". You are incoherent.

Nobody on this sub believes all white men are inherently evil. That's ridiculous. You mentioned way more than that too, covid conspiracy bullshit, anti-immigration views. You think everyone who doesn't see things your way is "part of the problem" (your own words).

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Because pointing out a fact isnt demanding anything from others. If you subscribe to wokeness in other areas of thinking but are flabbergasted at the state of lgb groups, you wont fix anything. You use wokespeak with "anti immigration laws." Laughable and more gaslighting from you. Conflating legal and illegal immigration is classic wokeness. So I repeat. You are the problem in your own moviment. I don't demand you change though. I leave that to the partisans.

Have you every seen The Princess Bride, Poo? "Inconceivable!" For you it's "Gaslighting!"

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Your opinions aren't facts, buddy.

It didn't "happen out of nowhere." This is what happens when you somehow include a non-related phenomenon along with homosexuality for literal decades (most likely due to sexism, ie believing that feminine men weren't allowed to be men and thus "changed sex") and don't stop to question it.

I'm getting pretty tired of people thinking that trans people just showed up one day and suddenly made a big mess. It had been "LGBT" for a long time and nobody questioned it until it was too late.
