Exactly. Someone suggested this idea to me a few weeks ago here and I decided to try it out. (I work in a very woke environment.) Here are some of the conversations I’ve played dumb to since then:

*Libertarians are evil and want to ruin America

*Trump is a homophobe.

*Pence wants to put gays in concentration camps

*JKR is a transphobe.

*Nonbinary people are a real thing

Every single one of these has ended with the person tripping over their words and getting quieter before finally shutting up.

Yep! I had someone rant about "TERFs" irl so I played super dumb, asked them what that meant, and then got them to explain it.

"What's a TERF?" "Trans exclusionary radical feminist" "But what does that mean" "A type of feminist that hates trans people" "Why do they hate them"

Etc.
