It's not healthy to be THIS worried about how total strangers "perceive" you, period.

This is what internalise misogyny does to you.

  1. I love how misgendering is super offensive because gender is something so personal... yet you keep seeing posts of people asking for community help to brainstorm their gender because they have no idea themselves.

  2. This person actively wants to "confuse the cis/straights" but when they actually get "confused" and call her a girl, she finds it offensive. OK.

Nononono you don't understand, this one specific group can tell me what my gender is, but other groups can't. This one group is omniscient!

"Hey, it's fine to have a gender expression that doesn't fit society standards. You can be a woman and express yourself in ways that are masculine sometimes or androgynous sometimes, that doesn't make you less of a woman." - to them this is hate speech that is literally killing people. How dare you try to define someone's gender?

"You related to a stereotypical gay guy in a TV show once? That literally means you're a trans gay man." - totally acceptable. This person just defined your gender, but that's fine when they do it.

Yep! Cause they think of themselves like the Buddha (quite literally) because they spend hours upon hours "contemplating" gender. I have seen memes where they compare themselves to the most renowned philosophers. So of course, in their mind, they are capable of defining someone else's gender.

there's a blank space in my mind where most people would be thinking "oh my god i need to look a certain way."

That's not a thing lol

GNC trans man maybe?

So a GNC woman then, just with more health problems? People should not be encouraging this shit… taking artificial hormones isn't good for you.

But you get to squeal in delight over every body change and get praise and validation for it! Until the changes stop happening, then you are boring. But it's all worth the ruined body and mind for a couple of years of UwU euphoria!

UwU euphoria!

Out of topic, but I read this as UwUphoria 😂

After seeing this UwU shit so many times I have UwUphobia now.

GNC trans man maybe?

Translation: an attention-addicted person.

This person is so painfully confused it’s not even funny.

Hate to use this buzzword but it sounds like she has internalized misogyny and a fetish.

She doesn't want to appear as a "girly girl" for dressing in a feminine way in the FEMALE body she was born with, because she HATES how feminine(LOL) and how much of a women she will look. Instead, wants to be a campy(???), "genderfuck" person by becoming boy so she can wear skirts and makeup but in a "non-feminine-but-yes-feminine-way?...OK...

Not to sound preachy, but for GNC men, people typically do NOT treat them nicely for dressing feminine. It sounds like she has this fantasy in lala land at how great it would be to be this "genderfuck, campy boy who wears a skirt and makeup". It sounds like she's fetishizing (feminine) men. It's creepy.

Edit: Oh lol, sorry OP! Not trying to knock you for using internalised misogyny phrase. I didn't realise it the first time around and reread your title. I just hear it a lot and some people ruined the phrase/words for me. :(

"Here is the label you needed!"

Wtf. So, basically a chick who thinks she's "nb" and another suggests that she might be a "gnc transman" instead of getting therapy.

Funny how you can suggest to someone that's non-binary that they're actually trans. By their own definitions this should be misgendering, invalidating someone's gender identity.

I wonder if the reaction would be the same if you suggested that a non-binary person is actually cis.

[–]BiHorror 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Lol, it would be but considering that there's some NBs who are saying they're "trans" due to "not being aligned with their assigned sex," I have no clue anymore about this shit.

I wonder if the reaction would be the same if you suggested that a non-binary person is actually cis.

It would be literal violence to suggest such a thing!

The whole concept of euphoria just seems mad to me. The idea that you would draw extreme happiness just from being perceived a certain way by other people... Additionally, the fact that she admits she feels a deep disconnect between her body and mind is a sign that she should not be making permanent changes to her body based on how she feels.
