I see little to no difference between the two. In either case, it's someone who is trying to use their beliefs to tell me how to live my life. Either statement belittles and demeans me as a homosexual. It doesn't matter if someone wants to pray the gay away or if it's someone who wants to lecture me about genital preferences. Neither is accurate for my life and lived experiences.

No one is going to pray me into becoming straight. And I don't have genital preferences. I have requirements. There is no way to shame me into being straight. That goes for religious people trying and trans activists trying.
