I'd point out that it's in a country where homosexual marriage has been legal for 3 years. Homosexuality itself has been legal for decades longer.

I think that this distinction is relevant because there are many countries in which not only we can't get married, but we can actually get send to jail or killed for being gay. And like you said, big corporations aren't using their power to advocate for change in these countries.

And where it only became illegal nation-wide to fire someone for their sexual orientation THIS YEAR. There was still tons to be done after Obergefell but all the orgs switched courses.
